Design hotspot on the Wörthersee

Porto Bello & Lounge

Anyone who knows Porto Bello from the past will hardly recognize it: everything is new and different. The terraces, the seating, the kitchen, the colors as well as the atmosphere in the restaurant and in the lounge. The motto is "Carinthia interpreted in a modern way". And that extends through the architecture, the design, and the colors to the kitchen and the clothing of the employees.

Yellow, red, and white
set the tone

In the colors of the Carinthian flag, managing director Helena Ramsbacher sets design trends in the Porto Bello. Red tulips bloom on plates. Yellow, red, and white lanterns hang from the ceiling. Red and yellow fabrics cover the bar stools and lounge furniture. Staff members, wearing white sneakers and short aprons in yellow, red, and white, serve homemade pasta and Wörthersee fish.

From the furnishings to the dishes, everything in the new lake restaurant is pure design. The colors were selected according to the restaurant motto "Carinthia interpreted in a modern way" and surprises with many bold stylistic elements. Pleasure for the eyes is just as guaranteed as pleasure for the palate from the award-winning kitchen.

Porcelain dishes

EMOTION. This is the name of the porcelain series from the well-known Milanese company for porcelain and tableware Taitù. With the impression of Flemish paintings, the beauty of nature is reflected on the colorful dishes: tulips are blooming, butterflies are flying, and snails with fringes are artistic interpretations of "slow food".

It's casual and relaxed on the new terraces at the hotel's own marina. True to the motto, the cuisine is interpreted in a modern Carinthian style. In the great Lohberger kitchen, delicious pasta and fish dishes are prepared under the direction of chef de cuisine Richard Hessl. The pasta is handmade in-house with a pasta machine that is also new. The fish come freshly caught from the Wörthersee.

Favorite spots on the balcony, at the bar, and in the lounge 

Sitting on the balcony above the terraces is sublime. And the feeling of floating arises a bit – above things, above the water, closer to the sky. Probably the new favorite place for many if it weren't for the casual lounge and bar. Here as well as there you can dine very casually: small snacks or light summer dishes of Alpe-Adria cuisine. And of course there is a large selection of classic, trendy, and cool drinks for a romantic sundowner at the most beautiful spot on the Wörthersee.
