Coming from the direction of Salzburg (A10) or Vienna via the Südautobahn A2, take the "Pörtschach West" exit. After the autobahn exit, turn left heading towards Pörtschach and drive along the main road. After ca. 500 m, turn right into the entrance of Hotel Schloss Seefels.
After driving ca. 50 m on the entrance road, drive along the driveway through the small tunnel right in front of our entrance door. After we have taken care of your luggage, you can park your car right at the hotel in our car park. We are excited to welcome you!

What is the best way to reach Schloss Seefels by car?
Coming from Salzburg (A10) as well as from Vienna, take the A2 motorway (Südautobahn) to the Pörtschach West exit. After leaving the motorway, turn left towards Pörtschach and follow the main road for approx. 500 m. Then turn right into the driveway to Hotel Schloss Seefels – the access road leads through a small tunnel directly to our entrance portal.
Is parking available directly at the hotel?
Yes. There is a car park and it is for free.
How can I get to Schloss Seefels by train?
Pörtschach train station is only about 2 km from the castle. From March 2026, the WESTbahn will connect Vienna and Villach five times daily with a direct stop in Pörtschach am Wörthersee – the journey from Vienna takes just 3 hours and 23 minutes.
Does the hotel offer a transfer from the train station?
Yes, we are happy to arrange a complimentary transfer to and from Pörtschach train station for our guests. We kindly ask you to notify us in advance so we can prepare for your arrival accordingly.
Which airport is closest, and will I be picked up from there?
Klagenfurt Airport is located approx. 25 km away and offers international connections including Cologne, London-Stansted, Palma de Mallorca, and Vienna. A private transfer from Klagenfurt Airport is charged from EUR 75.
Alternatively, Ljubljana Airport (approx. 100 km, transfer time approx. 1 hour) offers numerous international connections. We are happy to arrange your individual transfer to the hotel from either airport.
