Palms like in the South Pacific. Glistening water like on the sea. A fresh summer breeze and fantastic view of the turquoise-blue lake Wörthersee. This is the natural scenery of the lake restaurant Porto Bello. This is a hotspot in summer and the meeting place of jetsetters, who anchor their boat at the marina. The feel of the restaurant is maritime, the atmosphere is casual, and the cuisine is light and summery with salads, fish, pasta, and ice cream.
If you eat lunch at Porto Bello, you will truly feel like you are on holiday. The 3-course lunchtime menu is served June to September from Monday to Friday from 12 to 2 pm for € 29. The dishes are summery and light as are the stylish Flyline chairs and tables. A table reservation is recommended for your front-row seat on the water with a gorgeous view.
One special moment is when the Wörthersee fishermen make their way along the dock with their fresh catch heading straight to the Seefels kitchen. No one is more excited than head chef Richard Hessl. It doesn't get any more regional or fresher than this. When it comes to beef, the master chef places great importance on local quality such as Lavanttal Wagyu beef. The exquisitely marinated meat makes the spaghetti bolognese a delicious delicacy, and the vegetable-rice wok as well as the legendary tarte flambée are some of the most-ordered dishes. One look at the menu, and you will see the fantastic selection of light, summery dishes.
Cool summer drinks and classics
On the drink menu, restaurant manager René Hofmann places emphasis on cool, trendy, and classic drinks. They all have one thing in common: their refreshing effect. A puree made from fresh peaches with Prosecco is used for the Bellini. For the Fraisini, it is fresh raspberries and strawberries. Aperol Spritz or the Hugo cocktail are as popular as the daily changing iced tea, which is refined with fruit and fresh mint and served in a trendy glass.
Wedding location right on the Wörthersee
The lake restaurant Porto Bello with 60 seats in the restaurant, lake terrace, and dock is an in-demand wedding venue. Civil ceremonies can be held on-shore or by the water. For church ceremonies in the Maria Wörth pilgrimage church, we will chauffeur the newlyweds by motorboat to Porto Bello. Here, food & beverage manager Florian Scheichenbauer leaves nothing to chance. Everything is meticulously planned according to the bride and groom's wishes and perfectly organised for a celebration that won't soon be forgotten.
