Gourmets talk about the modern interpretation of the classic Alps-Adriatic cuisine.
The shorter the distances, the fresher the products. Chef Richard Hessl buys 80% of the food from within 70 kilometers. Fish from the Wörthersee. Wagyu beef from the Lavant valley. Bread from the local bakery. Vegetables from local fields. Everything full of maturity and full of flavor.
Chef Richard Hessl relies on a short supply chain.

"The property is First Class all the way. The staff is top notch. I highly recommend a visit!!!"Glenn Gulino, August 2018 • Google
"My wife and I stayed for a week at the Schloss Seefels. Fantastic hotel, very clean, spacious room (suite with lake view and balcony), beautiful lake, good restaurants, friendly staff, good massage. It comes at a price but it is clearly worth it."RudyD06, August 2019 • Tripadvisor
"Not the first time we've stayed at this grand lakeside hotel, and it won't be the last. After a long 3 day motorcycle ride from the UK it felt familiar and comfortable to be back at the Seefels. If anything the staff have upped their game to even better service levels, the food is superb, breakfast a treat and in the glamorous bar the chief bar-tender is a true delight. Room was sparkling clean and the location is truly stunning. Reception staff back up smiles with Austrian efficiency. Can't fault it."John, September 2019 • Tripadvisor
"Great setting, right on the shores of the Worthersee lake. Rooms are clean and modern. Balconies have views of the lake. Service is generally very good. The highlight is their spa which all guests have access to, including multiple saunas and steam baths and a whirpool."Matt Hellin, August 2018 • Google
"My family started taking me here in the 1960s. Have visited numerous times but only between June and September [high season] but never a zoo of tourists. Five star service, cuisine and old fashioned Austrian Gemuetlichkeit. Romantic, quiet and lots of water sports and hiking around the Alps. Visiting for sure in September when things quiet down."DoubleDee2020, March 2019 • Tripadvisor
"We had just one night after a cracking wedding nearby in Seefels. The staff were fantastic and the room we had was perfect. The whole place is perfect - especially the breakfast balcony overlooking the lake and the boat bar/restaurant on the lake."CousinD_13, June 2018 • TripAdvisor
